Martyn Blundell (UK 1955) has an MA in Fine Art from Nottingham Trent University. Currently lives in the UK and works mainly in Spain and Germany. His current work explores processes that deal with acts of ordering and juxtaposition of image, pattern, text, lists and spoken phrases in order to attempt to generate narratives made through acts of association and combination.
Don't Look for Angels (2009) was shot in Berlin with a nod to Wim Wenders. We are familiar with the things we forget; the beauty in the mundane. This work prompts reflection on the relationship between then and now, presence and absence. Special thanks to Zuli Stannard.
